Overview:
Material Handlers works under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor. They are responsible for multiple tasks on the plant floor, which ensure the timely packaging, shipment, and receipt of material into and out of the facility. These tasks must be completed in a safe and efficient manner, without close supervision. Material Handlers must have the ability to work in a team environment, coordinating movements and activities with others.
Work location may be 1 of 3 Pittsburgh area plants.

Material Handlers will work a rotating, 4 on/4 off shift.
Work Schedule
4 consecutive day shifts (5am to 5pm)
4 consecutive days off
4 consecutive night shifts (5pm to 5am)
Schedule is subject to change based on shift coverage needs
Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials using overhead crane and forklift
- Ensuring that finished product is packaged and shipped in accordance with customer’s specifications.
- Measuring product dimensions using a tape measure and micrometer.
- Must anticipate needs of Line Operator and Equipment Operators to assure continuous line operation.
- Processing of shipping and receiving paperwork and entering shipping and receiving information into computer systems. (data entry)
- Must become familiar with production process to aid in problem solving efforts.
Qualifications:
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Analytical ability
- Computer skills
- Math skills
- Must be capable of lifting moderate weight (50 lbs)
- Ability to climb ladders
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred
