Description

Material Handler

All candidates must initially work 1st shift, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, until they are signed off on required training. Once training is completed and the candidate is signed off, they will transition to the regular 3rd-shift schedule of 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Monday–Friday.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, production, or material-handling environment.

Ability to safely work in a production environment and follow established safety procedures.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately perform basic mathematical calculations.

Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.

Basic computer proficiency, including Windows and Microsoft Office.

Experience working with inventory tracking or warehouse management systems.

Previous experience working with GMPs, SOPs, or another highly structured manufacturing/quality environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Forklift or powered industrial equipment experience

SUMMARY

Pharmaceutical manufacturing team is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support 3rd shift production operations at the Myerstown, PA facility. In this role, you will ensure production areas have the materials they need to operate safely and efficiently. You will handle and stage manufacturing materials, maintain accurate inventory records, use automated inventory systems such as SAP, and follow GMP, SOP, safety, and quality requirements. This opportunity is well suited for candidates with Material Handler, warehouse, manufacturing, forklift, SAP, inventory, or GMP experience who want to build experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supply production lines and staging areas with required packaging and manufacturing materials.

Retrieve and return bins, drums, super-sacs, and other materials through designated airlock areas.

Transport and stock materials using forklifts, hand trucks, and other material-moving equipment.

Accurately record material movements, lot numbers, and quantities in SAP and other automated systems.

Perform inventory transactions including transfers, reconciliations, scrap transactions, and inventory cleanup.

Monitor material availability and work with Warehouse and Production teams to resolve inventory or supply issues.

Maintain accurate material traceability and identify discrepancies or unacceptable incoming/outgoing materials.

Follow GMP, SOP, batch manufacturing records, safety procedures, and other established production processes.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Assist team members and other departments in meeting production priorities and deadlines.

Use systems such as SAP, MES, Microsoft Office, and Tulip to complete required work.

Support a team-oriented culture by sharing knowledge, learning new processes, and helping improve manufacturing operations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
