Material Handler

osition Summary

The Material Handler supports daily warehouse and production operations by safely moving, storing, and supplying materials throughout the hose manufacturing facility. This role requires hands-on forklift operation, inventory handling, and close coordination with production and shipping teams to ensure materials are available when needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials, finished goods, and packaging throughout the facility

• Load and unload trucks in accordance with safety and quality standards

• Stage materials for production lines and ensure timely delivery to manufacturing areas

• Accurately receive, label, and store inventory in designated locations

• Perform inventory transactions in the ERP/WMS system (as applicable)

• Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventories

• Inspect materials for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report issues

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Follow all safety procedures, including PPE and forklift operation guidelines

• Support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Minimum [1–3] years of material handling or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment

• Valid forklift certification and proven experience operating sit-down and/or stand-up forklifts

• Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or hose manufacturing setting is a plus

• Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems preferred
