Material Handler (On-site)

We are seeking a Material Handler for our client to coordinate the inspection, verification, and receipt of incoming materials and ensure timely delivery to designated areas.

• Inspect incoming materials to verify quantities and identify damage to packages or contents
• Compare accompanying paperwork with received materials and original purchasing records
• Enter receipt verification into the appropriate system
• Document missing or damaged items and complete required paperwork
• Follow company procedures for handling classified and hazardous materials
• Route packages according to inspection codes
• Assist with delivering packages throughout the facility
• Use power or manual equipment and hand tools to move heavy or awkward materials
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of two years of related experience
• Basic understanding of PC applications including Oracle.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for extended periods
