The ideal candidate has strong forklift, shipping, inventory, and warehouse experience, preferably within the metals industry.
Safely operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and stage materials throughout the facility.
Receive, stock, and organize products and supplies according to inventory requirements.
Pick, process, and pack customer orders accurately.
Load and unload trucks and verify that the correct materials are being shipped and received.
Perform shipping and warehouse functions as required.
Complete cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy.
Identify, hold, and segregate defective material.
Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately.
May operate a Kaltenbach saw to cut orders as needed.
May use cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
Inspect forklift equipment at the beginning of each shift and immediately report any concerns.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Follow all safety, quality, ISO, and 6S requirements.
Assist in other areas of the operation as requested by the supervisor or team lead.
Assist with training other employees when required.
