Barton Staffing is currently looking for a Material handler or our client located in Addison. The Material handler is responsible for all paperwork and coordination of activities associated with shipping/receiving of products within the Warehouse. Proficient in computer support to review inventory and process shipping/receiving.
Temp to Hire position
Monday to Friday
1st shift 7:00am-3:30pm
Pay rate $19-$20
Major Responsibilities/Activities
· Physically receive incoming shipments, verifying counts, and material integrity.
· Assist as needed in outbound shipment processing.
· Use forklift truck both sit and stand, EPJ, and other means as necessary to move incoming material into storage.
· Perform physical cycle counts as needed
· Physically move material into raw material storage locations.
· Coordinate returnable vendor packaging and storage.
· Rotate material for ease of FIFO practices. Update storages boards for awareness.
· Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions and execute them.
· Perform functions of pick/pack for Adams and Dowling activity.
· Maintain Powered Industrial Truck batteries on monthly basis.
· Maintain recyclable materials, calling in for pickups.4
· Perform limited inventory transactions.
· Perform other functions as required.
