ABOUT THE JOB:
We’re hiring a
Material Handler I – 1st Shift to safely operate forklift equipment and help ensure quality products are received, stored, and shipped accurately and on time.
This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced distribution environment with a strong focus on
safety, inventory accuracy, product quality, and teamwork.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:- Safely operate a forklift to move, load, store, and retrieve materials
- Use handheld scanners to track inventory and product locations
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for damage or discrepancies
- Complete inventory and cycle counts
- Perform routine forklift inspections and report equipment issues
- Keep warehouse aisles and work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Follow all safety, GMP, food-quality, and regulatory procedures
- Report damaged products, equipment issues, and unsafe conditions
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:- High school diploma or GED
- At least 2+ years of forklift experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution environment
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment
- Basic computer skills, including use of a scan gun
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to conduct inventory and cycle counts
