    Job Summary:

    Supervises personnel that perform manual and clerical duties related to shipping, receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies.

    Job Duties:

    • Supervises a team of 10-15 individuals that Counts, weighs or measures incoming or outgoing items to compare identifying information and variety against bills of lading, invoices, orders or other records.
    • Responsible for the success of the warehouse portion of a government contract.
    • Examines incoming shipments for damage or shortages and corresponds with shipper to rectify.
    • Completes paperwork or forms required for documentation.
    • Determines method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
    • Prepares materials for shipping by weighing, packaging and stamping.
    • Manually wrap/package material.
    • Prepares necessary shipping forms such as bills of lading.
    • Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks or dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
    • Operates pallet wrapper and strapping machine.
    • Process transactions in the warehouse management system.

    Required Skills, Experience and Education:

    • Ability to supervise and motivate others to fulfill the warehouse requirements of the contract.
    • Handles complex issues/problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
    • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter.
    • Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
    • Requires a high school diploma and 8 years of experience.
    • Oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to understand and follow directions.
    • Ability to lift/move heavy objects
