Warehouse Putaway Associate / Material HandlerJob Summary
We are hiring a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Putaway Associate to receive, verify, and properly stock products in a distribution center environment. This position uses RF technology to ensure inventory is accurately placed into the correct warehouse locations.
Key Responsibilities

• Verify incoming products by checking item description, quantity, packaging, and expiration dates, when applicable.
• Use an RF scanner/device to process and put away inventory.
• Break down received products into the appropriate selling units.
• Place products in the correct warehouse stocking locations.
• Identify and report inventory discrepancies to the appropriate lead or supervisor.
• Rotate products with expiration dates to ensure proper inventory control.
• Identify damaged products and move them to the designated damage area or follow established spill procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory and product placement.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Cross-train in additional warehouse functions, including Receiving and Order Picking.
• Meet established productivity and quality expectations.
• Follow warehouse procedures, safety requirements, and work instructions.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse, receiving, putaway, inventory, distribution, or material handling experience preferred.
• Experience using RF scanners or handheld warehouse devices is a plus.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to identify differences between similar products, including size, color, packaging, and product/vendor codes.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and established procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment and handling multiple assignments.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; comparable work experience will be considered.
