Job Description:
- The Manufacturing Material Handler is responsible for safely moving, lifting, stacking, and transporting cases of milk and dairy products throughout the production and warehouse areas.
- This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring products are moved efficiently, work areas remain organized, and safety and quality standards are maintained.
- The position requires frequent physical activity, including repetitive lifting of milk cases and working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lift, carry, stack, and move cases of milk and dairy products throughout the facility.
- Load and unload products from pallets, racks, conveyors, and storage areas.
- Follow established quality, food safety, and manufacturing procedures.
- Inspect products and packaging for damage or defects and report issues to leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, and quality teams to meet operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull milk cases and other materials throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, twist, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to safety and quality requirements.
- Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Continuous standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Ability to work in refrigerated, wet, or varying temperature environments as required.
