Material Handler II

Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist. Responsibilities: Loads, unloads, and convey materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.

DPP is seeking a Material Handler II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.
 
Work Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA
Duration: 6 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen
 
Responsibilities:

• Loads, unloads, and convey materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.
• Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand; loads or unloads materials into or from trucks by hand.
• Conveys materials using wheelbarrow, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, elevator, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials; aids machine operators by lifting heavy objects by hand or by use of power hoist.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be able to lift 50lbs to un-assisted.
• Must have a valid California Driver’s license.
• Must be able sit, stand, bend, and reach for long periods of time.
• Must be able to operate a delivery vehicle.
• Previous warehousing experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous SAP/MRP system experience.
• Forklift experience.
• Shipping/Packaging to Mil Spec experience.
• The ability to obtain and retain a security clearance.
