Position: Material Handler II
Location: Chino, CA 91710
Duration: 12 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday to Friday from 09:00 AM to 05:30 PM
Summary
In this role as a Warehouse Packer, you will place items into boxes with the right packing materials and documentation before they are labelled and shipped. You will be part of a team which helps to deliver various types of products from life-saving personal protective equipment to microscopes for high school biology classrooms.
Responsibilities
- Process customer orders daily to meet their expectations.
- Work in one or more process paths; receiving, picking, packing, or shipping.
- Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures and complete documentation requirements for hazardous materials.
- In the packing department, efficiently identify correct items for orders and pack them.
- Ensure accuracy and timely packing.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of work experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or related field.
- Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers) preferred.
- Packing experience highly preferred.
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time, involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching.
- Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 50 lbs.
