About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our team. This position focuses on the safe and efficient transfer, storage, and management of raw materials, components, and finished goods to support production and shipping operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Transfer raw materials, components, and finished goods to designated storage or production areas
- Load and unload freight trucks, containers, and delivery vehicles using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts
- Stage parts and materials for production lines to prevent downtime or delays
- Unpack incoming shipments, inspect items for damage or quantity discrepancies, and sign receiving logs
- Compare incoming and outgoing shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping manifests
- Pick, pack, label, and wrap customer orders for outgoing shipment
- Use RF scanners or Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to track inventory movements and update records accurately
- Participate in routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits
- Keep aisles, loading docks, and storage zones clean, organized, and free of safety hazards
- Follow all company safety protocols, hazardous material handling procedures (if applicable), and OSHA regulations
- Safely dispose of packing waste, broken pallets, and recyclable materials
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in material handling, warehousing, stockroom, or shipping/receiving environments
- Familiarity with manual and powered pallet jacks, hand trucks, and staging equipment
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry items up to 50 lbs regularly
- Capability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and climb ladders/stairs throughout an entire shift
- Basic math and literacy skills for order reading and inventory verification
- Comfort using hand scanners, tablets, or basic inventory management software
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift operator experience or certification (sit-down, stand-up, or reach truck)
