    Our fulfillment center, located in Urbandale, Iowa is seeking individuals ready and available to work! Through the dedication of our Perfection Learning Team, we can provide students across the United States with books to support their academic achievement by picking, packing, and shipping orders.

    This position starts at $18.00 an hour on our 1st Shift 6a-2:30p or 7:30-4 Monday- Friday.
     
     
    WHAT DOES A MATERIAL HANDLER I DO?
    As a Material Handler I, you will be updating stock quantities and locations within our warehouse management system. Receive inventory into stock. Pulling stock and packing customer orders.  Attention to detail in this position is to ensure the correct item is stocked and restocked, the inbound/outbound products are placed in their identified warehouse home locations, and all items are handled with care as the package is made ready for shipping.

    WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
    • High School or GED
    • Willing to work in warehouses without heat or air conditioning.  Our distribution center is climate controlled, however some of the warehouse locations do not have heat or air conditioning.  
    • Willing to work independently for extended periods.   
    • Basic math and computer skills will be required   
    Physical Requirements
    • Must be able to use handheld electronic devices for performing pick, pack, receiving, and put away tasks
    • Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
    • You will be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch regularly 
    • Must be able to read and write English and have the ability to communicate with coworkers
    • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move 35 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
    • Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
    • Able to perform repetitive movements
    • Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
    • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
