Job Description:
Seeking a Material Handler to support warehouse and production operations at Hill Air Force Base. The selected candidate will perform material handling, inventory, shipping/receiving, and stock replenishment activities. This is a physically active role requiring frequent standing, lifting, moving materials, and working with inventory systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load, unload, move, and organize materials within the facility, warehouse, or worksite.
- Perform shipping and receiving activities as directed.
- Open containers using hand tools and inspect/count materials.
- Record quantities, weights, and inventory information accurately.
- Load and unload materials onto pallets, racks, trays, conveyors, and equipment.
- Sort and place materials into designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL).
- Perform inventory checks using a Windows tablet.
- Use handheld scanners/tablets to order and replenish materials.
- Transport materials using carts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Maintain organized and safe work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 2–4 years of experience in material handling, warehouse, logistics, shipping/receiving, or similar roles preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work and remain on feet for most of the shift.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office/Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to use tablets, scanners, and inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen due to facility access requirements at Hill Air Force Base.
