A qualified Material Handler/Forklift Operator will be able to the perform the following tasks:
- Move and wrap material from bindery and press-room and stack them to assigned places
- Locate material on shipping manifest to load unto outgoing trailers.
- Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies.
- Transport raw materials to production department
- Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and report any issues to manager
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
- Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facility
Requirements
The Material Handler/Forklift Operator should meet the following requirements:
- Qualified candidates will be able to work 8, 10 or 12 hours and work weekends as well on an as needed basis.
- Previous experience as a forklift operator
- Safety and Quality minded
- Should be able to work with minimal supervision and be an individual contributor
- Must be reliable and consistently at work and on time
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Must have positive and effective communication with other team members
