Porter/ Material Handler

7:30am to 4pm - Monday through Friday

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Retrieve raw materials and deliver to work cells and/or machinery
Record and keep track of material quantities and/or weight
Possess basic shop math skills
Daily cleaning of common areas, floors, restrooms, break rooms, and entrances
Emptying trash and recycling
Restocking supplies (paper, soap, PPE, etc.)
Light maintenance (changing bulbs, minor repairs, reporting bigger maintenance issues)
Moving furniture, deliveries, equipment, or materials
Assisting staff or guests as needed
Keeping the site safe and presentable
Operation of pallet jacks, forklifts, and overhead cranes with proper training
Lifting and moving heavy material daily
Use of computers for logging, adjusting and saving job updated as necessary
Use of measuring tools, including tape measures, scale and other various measurement equipment
Tool and die maintenance
Keep work areas clean and organized
Ability to work unsupervised, under minimal supervision, or as part of a team while meeting all production
requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Warehouse experience
Forklift and pallet jack experience
Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs
Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Able to organize and prioritize tasks, develops good work procedures, adapts to change, open to new ideas
Very Good communication verbally and in writing/reporting
Dependability - Ability to remain flexible with working schedules, to include possible overtime during evenings
and weekends as needed
1EDUCATION LEVEL:
A High School diploma is preferred with a minimum of two years experience in warehousing
operations.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently lift and/or move up to fifty pounds.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk
or hear.
Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Steel toe footwear
Standard safety glasses w/side shields company provides.
Prescription safety glasses must be approved by OSHA standard and have side shields.
