Material Handler / Forklift Operator

Location: Halifax, VA 24558
Scheduled Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $25 per hour
Overtime: Overtime will be required at various intervals. This is an Essential Personnel Position that will require after-hours work on occasion.
Driving: Will be driving a company vehicle and will also need to get forklift certified at the job site.
Responsibilities
Accurately read, interpret and comply with company and departmental procedures.
Check and maintain stock inventory.
Operate a personal computer.
Perform basic data entry required to track inventory.
Operate a forklift and truck.
Lift 65 lbs.
Respond to customers regarding the availability of stocked items and provide needed support as necessary.
Qualifications
Top 3 Required Skills:
Safety.
Ability and experience to operate a forklift.
Must be dependable and follow instruction.
Additional Qualifications:
Preferred years of experience: At least 1 year.
High School Diploma/GED.
Forklift Certification is required. Must also be company certified once hired.
Attention to detail and basic math skills.
Strong verbal skills/ability to work effectively alone and with a team. Must be self-motivated.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to lead, collaborate, or work effectively in a variety of teams, including multi-disciplinary teams.
