Material Handler/Forklift Operator Responsibilities:
- Operate a sit down forklift truck and packaging equipment including hoists
- Read and understand work orders and assignments from computerized instructions
- Perform and understand basic math to control quantities and weights of product
- Ability to lift 50-60 pound containers occasionally
- Report to the Supervisor any faulty equipment or other safety hazards
- Perform routine post and pre-inspections to ensure safe work conditions
- Perform general clean-up tasks to keep work area clean and free of excess debris
- Ability to work overtime as needed
What we expect of a Material Handler/Forklift Operator
- At least one-year experience operating a forklift
- Frequent walking, bending, twisting, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and ability to check your own work for accuracy
- Basic computer knowledge
- Be able to understand basic English. Ability to speak fluent English is not necessary
