U.S. Lumber, an SBP brand is currently looking for a 1st shift Material Handler to join our VALUES based organization. In this role you will focus on:

Performing a number of different and important responsibilities in operation including material receiving & product movement, product shipping and production support responsibilities.

Monday - Friday: 8a - 4:30pm EST.

Hourly pay of $18/hour.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Banding/Packaging Materials and supplies before being shipped to customer.
  • Receive, audit, inspect, ID and put away incoming material to proper locations
  • Maintain housekeeping and organization in warehouse and other material location area
  • Maintain correct inventories by moving materials in computer when physically moving materials
  • Ensure the product and or materials meet quality expectations
  • Notify supervisor of improvement opportunities
  • Support area needs to remove empty pallets, trash and recycle type materials
  • Clean all parts and pieces using sandpaper, acetone on a cloth rag, or using air hose to blow off dust in tough to reach areas to ensure parts and pieces are ready to be painted
  • Stage completed and stretched wrapped products into shipping staging lanes by loads
  • Load trucks with finished door products per direction of Manager
  • Responsible for adhering to forklift, operational, quality and safety guidelines
  • Perform other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: One to two years related experience

Computer Skills: Experience using computer and handheld scanning gun

Certificates & Licenses: OSHA Forklift certification

Other Requirements

  • Previous experience in material handling responsibilities in a production environment
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
