Description

Material Handler/Driver
Location: Western Suburbs of Chicago
Schedule: 1st Shift Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays (rotating) 5:00am-1:30pm.
Pay: $25.00-$27.00/hr.  DOE 

Our client is seeking a dependable and motivated Material Handler/Driver to support production and outside processing operations. This hands-on position plays a critical role in ensuring materials and parts move efficiently throughout the manufacturing process while safely transporting products to local suppliers and vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport materials throughout the facility and to/from local vendors using a company vehicle. 
  • Move parts between production departments and outside processing vendors to support production schedules. 
  • Receive, count, weigh, label, and verify incoming materials against work orders and shipping documentation. 
  • Scan materials and enter inventory transactions into the ERP system. 
  • Create purchase orders, shipping paperwork, and receiving documentation as needed. 
  • Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before delivery or receipt. 
  • Inspect company vehicle and notify management of maintenance needs. 
  • Operate a forklift to move raw materials and finished products safely throughout the facility. 
  • Remove scrap materials and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. 
  • Assist with sorting parts and other warehouse or production support activities as needed. 
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, logistics personnel, production, quality, and customer service teams to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction. 
  • Follow all company safety procedures and Lean Manufacturing practices.
