Material Handler
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Material Handler candidate for a company based in Cullman, AL. You will be responsible for safely operating cranes and fabricating equipment to move material in a safe and productive manner in accordance with the site’s business goals and objectives.

Pay Rate
$18 plus (based on experience)

Schedule and Hours
Sunday 11pm-7am / Monday through Thursday 9pm-7am

Material Handler Operator Duties and Responsibilities
- Move materials to and from storage or production area, loading docks, or delivery vehicles by hand, operating forklifts, or overhead cranes.
- Sort material before loading and unloading.
- Attach identifying tags to materials or mark them with identifying information.
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments or material or equipment needs.
- Stack material in storage locations.
- Record numbers of materials handled or moved, using daily production sheets or work tickets.
- Install protective devices, such as bracing, padding, or strapping, to prevent shifting or damage to materials being transported.
- Guide loads being lifted to prevent swinging.
- Carry needed tools or supplies from storage or trucks and return them after use.
- Carry out general yard duties.
Material Handler Operator Qualifications and Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience
- Proficient communication and organizational skills
- Highly motivated and able to work independently or with a team
- Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds consistently
