• Manually enter product and shipment information into the computer system.
• Inspect trucks for damage and report any issues before loading.
• Check industrial truck wheels and locks as part of routine loading procedures.
• Enter bills of lading into the computer for shipments.
• Wrap finished-product pallets with plastic wrap and prepare them for shipment.
• Use an order picker and ladder when retrieving products from designated storage areas.
• Maintain an organized and clean warehouse and work area.
• Use an air hose, broom, dustpan, and other cleaning equipment to remove debris and production remnants.
• Communicate with maintenance when equipment or wrapping equipment requires attention.
• Assist with forklift battery changes and other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Follow all required safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE.
The ideal candidate will:
• Be comfortable operating or learning to operate a forklift.
• Be able to work safely around moving equipment, forklifts, production areas, and warehouse traffic.
• Have good attention to detail when handling materials and preparing shipments.
• Be comfortable using a computer, keyboard, scanner, and other basic warehouse technology.
• Be able to follow work orders, checklists, and established procedures.
• Be comfortable lifting boxes and materials weighing up to approximately 35 lbs.
• Be comfortable frequently getting on and off a forklift.
• Be able to bend, reach, push, pull, and move materials throughout the workday.
• Be dependable and able to work as part of a team.
• Be willing to maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Have a strong commitment to workplace safety.
