Description
Join our Mocksville Distribution Center team as a dedicated Material Handler, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of finished goods through our operations! This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industrial environment, with room for growth and development in the logistics and warehousing sector.
Position Details:
- 3:30PM-12:00 AM (Night Shift, 2nd shift) Monday through Friday, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays as needed
- Competitive hourly rate of $18.00 per hour plus $1.00/hour shift premium.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate stand-up reach lifts, cherry pickers, and RF scan guns to efficiently pick finished goods according to production schedules and customer orders.
- Lift and move loads weighing up to 50-60 pounds regularly, ensuring safety and accuracy in handling materials.
- Read and interpret various documents including production schedules, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to identify and gather the correct items.
- Contribute to inventory accuracy by sorting and placing materials on racks or shelves in a systematic manner, based on size, type, or product codes.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on assigned equipment like forklifts to maintain safety standards.
- Assemble customer orders, prepare pallets, and load items onto shelves or conveyance tools, preparing shipments for dispatch.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to foster a secure and efficient working environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift up to 50-60 pounds consistently throughout shifts.
- Proficiency in operating stand-up reach lifts, cherry pickers, or similar equipment, with prior experience preferred.
- Ability to use RF scan guns for accurate inventory management.
- Strong communication skills, with at least 70% fluency in English
