Material Handler
Location: Charlotte, NC, 28269
2nd Shift: Mon–Fri, 4pm–3:30am + Required OT on SaturdaysCompetitive hourly rate of $19/hr with overtime opportunities
Responsibilities
- Oversee dock operations, material handling, and scheduling of shipments (full truck, LTL, rail, containers)
- Unload trailers and stage kits/parts in designated locations
- Remove empties and replenish production points with correct kits at the right time
- Create inbound manifests, monitor swim lane health, and implement corrective actions
- Act as first responder for parts not delivered to the point of use; execute optimal ordering and delivery solutions
- Conduct daily material flow walks and end-of-shift reviews with 3PL partners to ensure seamless operations
- Support emergency orders and collaborate closely with the warehouse team
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives offsite at 3PL locations as needed
- Maintain exemplary 5S standards for cleanliness and organization within your area
- Adapt to changing business priorities and work overtime, including Saturdays, to meet production demands
Required Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Forklift experience (certification available onsite)
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds swiftly and safely
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to work independently, including offsite
- Experience supporting fast-paced, process-oriented operations
