Material Handler – 1st Shift

SHIFT - 1stPAYRATE - $23.00/hr
What You'll Do

• Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments
• Move materials and products throughout the facility
• Deliver materials to the correct production or storage locations
• Organize and maintain inventory
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment
• Maintain accurate material and inventory records
• Verify quantities and materials as needed
• Keep loading docks, staging areas, and work areas clean and organized
• Follow all company safety procedures and material-handling guidelines
• Perform routine cleaning of material-handling equipment
• Assist with maintaining an efficient flow of materials throughout the facility
• Communicate with production and warehouse personnel regarding material needs
• Work independently while completing assigned tasks accurately and efficiently
• Perform other material-handling duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous warehouse, material handling, manufacturing, or distribution experience preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and other material-handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail
• Good organizational skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to manage time efficiently
• Ability to follow safety procedures and instructions
• Dependable and self-motivated work ethic
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred

Physical RequirementsThis is a physically active position. Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and move heavy materials
• Stand and walk for extended periods
• Frequently climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch
• Safely maneuver materials throughout the facility
• Work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment
• Maintain a steady pace throughout the workday
