About the Opportunity
Doherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Material Handlers for a food production company in St. Peter, MN. In this role, you’ll support production by safely moving materials, maintaining inventory flow, and ensuring finished goods are properly handled and prepared for shipping. If you enjoy hands-on work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize safety, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do as a Material Handler:- Locate and pull raw materials using pick lists from job folders
- Supply production lines with materials to maintain smooth workflow
- Transport finished goods, wrap pallets, and prepare them for shipping
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety, GMP, allergen controls, and safety procedures
- Assist on the production floor as needed
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, quality, and blend room teams
What You Need to Bring to the Material Handler Role:- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior forklift experience required (certification preferred or obtained on the job)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and work in dusty/allergen-sensitive environments
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and write in English
- Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures
- Reliable transportation to St. Peter
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and/or drug screen, if required
