Now Hiring for Material Handlers
ProLogistix is looking for Material Handlers with previous Forklift Experience. This is a temp to hire position with a manufacturing company in NE Columbia.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery.
- Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing, and storage areas.
- Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
- Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids and boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas.
- Kit materials for each assembly line or area
- Physically move product across the production floor to where it is needed
- Conduct inventory and ensure proper documentation of current materials
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Shifts:
2nd Shift: $18.50/hour - Strongly preferred shift - 3:00p-12:30am M-F & frequent Saturdays
Limited 1st shift openings available.
Job Requirements:
- Attention to detail, team player and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to use all power tools required to perform position.
- Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions related to repairs, ask follow-up questions and communicate clearly any obstacles with meeting deadlines and/or standards.
- Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Standing, bending, stooping, and climbing continuously
- Ability to speak and read/write English fluently
Education and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Previous Manufacturing Experience
- At least 6 months of Forklift Experience
