Job Summary
PROLIM is seeking an experienced Material Handler 2 to support Northrop Grumman's Test Facility in Mesa, AZ. This role will be responsible for material movement, picking and kitting, inventory activities, shipping and receiving, and safe handling of materials within the facility.
The ideal candidate will have warehouse or stockroom experience, forklift and box truck operating experience, and the ability to regularly lift at least 30 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and transport materials within the plant, yard, or worksite.
- Pick and kit materials accurately and efficiently for production use.
- Locate, retrieve, and systematically issue materials.
- Support inventory accuracy through scheduled cycle counts.
- Operate forklifts, hand trucks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Move, stack, and assemble materials on pallets, trays, racks, and conveyors.
- Assist machine operators by moving heavy objects using appropriate lifting equipment or power hoists.
- Perform shipping and receiving activities as directed.
- Open containers using hand tools and count and weigh materials.
- Record material quantities and related information accurately.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, pallets, racks, conveyors, and machines.
- Follow established procedures and detailed instructions for routine and specialized tasks.
- Resolve routine material-handling questions and problems and escalate complex issues when necessary.
- Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Valid state driver's license with no violations.
- Ability to regularly lift 30 lbs.
- Experience operating a box truck and forklift.
- Ability to work a 4x10 schedule: Monday-Thursday, 5:00 AM-3:30 PM.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ year of experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with picking, kitting, shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
- Positive team-player attitude.
- Ability to work under direct supervision and follow detailed instructions.
- Experience with material-handling equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, electric dollies, or power hoists.
