    About the role:

    The Material Handler - Planning & Material Shipping Coordinator manages the end-to-end movement of raw materials, components, and finished goods to maintain uninterrupted production and customer delivery schedules. This role oversees inventory control, warehousing operations, and transportation logistics, ensuring commercial efficiency across all inbound and outbound activities.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and monitor day-to-day inbound and outbound logistics operations, including receiving, locating, staging, and dispatching inventory.
    • Administer and maintain an effective inventory control system to optimize stock levels and ensure accurate tracking of raw materials and finished products.
    • Provide cross-functional coordination between planning, warehouse, and shipping teams to align material movement with master production schedules.
    • Support sourcing and purchasing efforts by identifying inventory needs and minimizing material shortfalls or operational delays.
    • Enforce safety guidelines and lean warehousing practices to maintain an organized, compliant, and efficient material handling environment.

    This is a temporary/contract position with no benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, or paid time off during the contract period.

    Qualifications & Skills Needed

    • 2+ years of experience in material handling, inventory control, shipping/receiving, or supply chain logistics.
    • Proven ability to coordinate planning and shipping workflows in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse setting.
    • Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
    • Experience operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) following safety protocols.
    • Strong communication, organizational, and cross-functional problem-solving skills.
