Material Handler - 1st Shift
Pay: $18.51/hour
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday
Hours: 7am- 3:30pm
Are you looking for a hands-on warehouse opportunity with a growing company? We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to support production, warehouse operations, and inventory management. This position plays a key role in ensuring materials and finished products move efficiently throughout the facility.
Responsibilities
- Stage materials and supplies according to batch instructions.
- Verify item numbers, lot numbers, and quantities by pulling, scanning, and reporting transactions in the ERP system.
- Pull and load warehouse transfers for other facilities.
- Organize Work-in-Process (WIP) materials for production operators.
- Return unused materials and supplies to proper warehouse locations using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Wrap, palletize, label, and store finished goods according to customer specifications.
- Maintain accurate inventory locations and follow FIFO (First-In, First-Out) procedures.
- Pull partial finished goods pallets for production completion.
- Follow all Quality Hold procedures.
- Perform daily cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment through 5S practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least 1 year of warehouse, material handling, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to pass forklift training and become forklift certified.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills, including the ability to read and understand basic English instructions and correspondence.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
- Previous warehouse or operations experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and lifting.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse and production environment.
