Material Handler - 1st Shift
Job Summary:
Responsible for manually loading, unloading, moving, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse or production area. Ensures products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This position does not require forklift operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manually load and unload boxes, cartons, and other materials from trucks, pallets, and storage areas.
- Move materials by hand or with manual equipment such as pallet jacks or hand trucks.
- Sort, stage, and organize products for shipping, receiving, or production.
- Inspect materials for visible damage and report discrepancies.
- Maintain inventory organization and keep work areas clean and free of hazards.
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies.
- Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing orders for shipment.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production and shipping goals.
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting, carrying, bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Ability to perform repetitive manual tasks throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or production environment.
