Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Basic computer and warehouse technology skills required

Experience Requirements

• Previous warehouse and material handling experience required

• Hands-on experience operating all required PIT equipment:

• Cherry Picker

• Reach Truck

• Electric Pallet Jack

• Forklift

• Experience using RF scanners and inventory tracking systems

• Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and OSHA guidelines

• Strong attention to detail and inventory accuracy
• Ability to follow work instructions, product labels, and picking documentation
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexible to work overtime as business needs require

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb throughout the shift
• Ability to lift, move, load, and transport materials safely
• Comfortable operating powered industrial trucks for extended periods
• Physically capable of performing warehouse duties in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

• Safely operate Cherry Pickers, Reach Trucks, Electric Pallet Jacks, and Forklifts
• Pick, stage, replenish, load, unload, and transport inventory throughout the warehouse
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems to track inventory and complete orders
• Perform put-away, replenishment, order picking, and material handling tasks
• Inspect equipment before use and report mechanical or safety concerns
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and warehouse best practices
• Support additional warehouse operations as needed to meet productivity goals

What You Will Do

As a Material Equipment Operator you will safely operate forklifts to load, unload, transport, stack, and organize materials throughout warehouse and manufacturing operations. You will inspect equipment before use, replenish inventory locations, support shipping and receiving activities, verify product movement, maintain inventory accuracy, and help ensure safe, efficient material handling throughout the facility.

A Material Equipment Operator supports efficient warehouse and manufacturing operations by safely transporting inventory using forklifts and other powered industrial equipment. This position combines technical equipment skills with strong safety awareness to support reliable material movement.

The Material Equipment Operator requires attention to detail, safe operating practices, and the ability to work efficiently around personnel, equipment, and inventory while maintaining warehouse productivity. Successful candidates contribute directly to efficient supply chain operations.
