    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position Summary
    Project Scheduler supports the portfolio of capital projects being performed by site projects department through development of schedules and supporting work order processing.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • The project scheduler will assist Project Managers in developing project schedules. These schedules will be developed for both on overhaul and capital improvement projects. The project scheduler will also assist the PMs in updating schedules to reflect completed activities.

    • Report Monthly on overall project schedule statuses across the department to Leadership. Utilize an integrated master schedule report to monitor and inform project teams and leadership on the progress of the entire portfolio of projects at the various review meetings.

    • The project scheduler will support the development and implementation of department-level standard scheduling processes, and support ongoing training and onboarding of PMs.

      Maintain and report on status and readiness of work orders being processed within the scheduling process.
    • Project schedules, with identified contingencies, will be developed using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera (P6). The scheduler will maintain proficiency with these software tools.

    • The successful candidate will support Project Managers by assessing the reporting on fieldwork associated with assigned projects during their implementation phase. This is to include assessing and identifying improvement opportunities in safety, risk reduction and human performance improvement opportunities.

    Minimum Requirements
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent required. Must have at least 3-5 years of construction and/or utility experience related to successful scheduling, coordinating and implementing maintenance and engineering projects. Familiarity with design, operating and testing plant systems and components is desired. Familiar with Microsoft Project and Primavera Scheduling software.

    Gathers, analyzes, translates and delivers information in clear, concise and meaningful formats based on specific project and/or program requirements and according to established standards. Provides the project manager support and assistance in scheduling, documentation, and communication of potential risks. Updates the project plan. Assists in information collection and validations. Facilitates collaborative documents and data stores. Helps prepare status reports and presentations. May coordinate the activities of a project sub-team and/or project activities to the extent those efforts might affect completion of assigned tasks. Excellent oral and written communication skills are required. Must have strong knowledge of MS Office and Primavera Scheduling software.
