Overview:

The Material Coordinator is responsible for managing the Control Panel inventory, coordinating material flow, and ensuring that all necessary supplies and resources are available for production and operational needs. This role involves working closely with the Master Scheduler, the Warehouse team, the Production staff, and the key Suppliers to maintain efficient material handling processes. 

 

A Typical Day at Prime Controls 

  • Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking. 
  • Set up and manage the “Point of Use” bin system (size/refill frequency) for Production while closely monitoring the schedule and coordinating changes with the key vendors. 
  • Coordinate the receipt, storage, and distribution of materials. 
  • Work with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials/refill of “Point of Use” bins and resolve any discrepancies. 
  • Maintain accurate records of material transactions and update inventory systems. 
  • Communicate material requirements with production teams and key vendors. 
  • Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of materials to meet safety and quality standards. 
  • Assist in cycle counts and physical inventory audits to verify stock accuracy. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements for material flow efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with logistics and shipping teams to ensure timely dispatch of goods. 
  • Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements related to material management. 
  • May require standing or moving for extended periods in warehouses or production areas. 
  • Some positions may involve lifting or operating material handling equipment. 
  • Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment requiring attention to detail. 

 

What You Will Bring 

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate or bachelor’s degree preferred). 
  • Experience in inventory management, supply chain, logistics, or related fields. 
  • Proficiency in MRP or inventory management systems. 
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills. 
  • Basic knowledge of safety and quality regulations in material handling.
