Description
SAIC is seeking a Material Coordinator for our Hanahan, SC location.
The Material Coordinator will:
- Coordinate and expedite flow of materials, parts, and assemblies within or between various buildings in accordance with the Facility Manager/Staff Engineer(s) priorities.
- Review production schedules and confer with Facilities Staff to determine material requirements.
- Arrange transfer of materials to meet production schedules.
- Examine material(s) to verify type specified for current projects.
- Compute amount of material(s) needed for specific job orders.
- Compile reports of quantity and type of material(s) on hand and coordinate with Facility Staff for the repair and assembly/installation of facilities unique material.
- Exercise care in the use of company equipment and tools.
- Observe all safety programs and practices.
Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED equivalent and two (2) years of experience.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be able to safely lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Tools (Word, Outlook and Excel in particular).
Required Security Clearance:
- Must be a U.S. citizen able to obtain a Public Trust security clearance.
Desirable:
- CMPro experience
- Forklift experience
