Job title : Material Coordinator
Client : Heavy machine manufacturing Company
Duration : 1 Years with possibilities of an extension
Location : Davenport IA 52809
Shift : 1st shift - Monday – Friday ,7:00 AM - 4:30 PM , Expected work week will oftentimes be 50 hours. (8-10 hours typical)
• Coordinate the flow of materials across multiple factory departments, including shipping and receiving.
• Ensure production teams have the required parts and materials on time.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and identify material shortages or production issues.
• Coordinate the tactical execution of production plans within the factory.
• Support material handlers, stock chasers, and truckers as needed.
Duties:
• Coordinate procurement, expediting, production, and delivery of materials.
• Identify and resolve root causes of material shortages and inventory issues.
• Create and distribute daily production schedules using the Master Schedule.
• Process inbound/outbound material transactions.
• Audit material replenishment cycles and inventory accuracy.
• Resolve inventory errors and expedite parts to prevent production delays.
• Monitor critical shortage reports and ensure part availability.
• Support engineering releases and change management activities.
Required/Preferred Skills:
• Supply Management / Operations experience.
• Previous or current military experience preferred.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• SAP or equivalent MRP system experience.
• Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and logistics processes.
