· Demonstrates advanced clinical skills and ability to assess patients to determine appropriate level of care.

· Identifies cultural considerations gender identity and preferred language for patients and family

· Demonstrates advance practice in assessments and all other documentation timely and in compliance with requirements as appropriate to scope

· Assesses environment and patients safety status and reportsresponds to actual and potential safety issues or changes in the patients condition

· Identifies risk factors screening criteria and interventions for patients with special precautions e.g. suicide homicide falls elopement

· Recognizes and acts upon unexpected assessment findings

· Leads in ensuring a safe structured milieu with evidence based treatment modalitiesresources

· Maintains active and timely communication with patients families multidisciplinary team and continuum of care providers

· Provides education and guidance regarding state commitment processes abuse reporting requirements duty to warn and guardianship processes.

· Assesses collaborates coordinates and provides guidance on complex discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with the multidisciplinary team.

· Develops and maintains a community resource guide including access to public assistancealternatives.

· Facilitates and participates in Community Education Activities and Support Groups as appropriate to scope

· Demonstrates appropriate application of agedevelopmental stage specific standards policies and procedures and guidelines in assessing and treating patients to ensure patient safety.

· Maintains professionalism and uses good communication skills in interacting with peers staff patients families and in resolving conflicts.

· Demonstrates understanding of and ability to maintain clear professional boundaries with peers patients and families.

· Serves as an educational resource to patients families interdisciplinary team members payer representatives and other parties as appropriate regarding behavioral services

· Reviews coaches and assists with training of new staffinterns as assigned within approved practice and program guidelines.

What qualifications you will need

· Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

· Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

· Masters Degree - REQUIRED

· Provisional Licensure may be REQUIRED - LPC-ALMSWETC
