Pave Talent is hiring on behalf of our client, an established aerospace precision components manufacturer in Covina, California, serving commercial aerospace, space, and defense programs. This is a programming seat, not an operator seat. You will be the person who builds the programs, not the person who runs someone else's code.
• Build CNC programs from scratch in Mastercam (2025 or newer) and SolidWorks, straight off customer models and blueprints
• Program 5-axis and 3+2 milling, mill-turn, Swiss, and HAAS lathes and mills (3, 4, and 5 axis)
• Program lathes with live tooling (C-axis and Y-axis work)
• Prove out programs with simulation, then support the floor through first article and production
• Cut cycle times, improve tooling, and rework older programs to run faster
• Write setup sheets and help train machinists on setups
• Work in an AS9100 and NADCAP (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) quality environment
• You program in Mastercam every day and can talk through your toolpath choices without notes
• You are comfortable on multi-axis milling AND live-tooling lathes, not just one side
• You like owning the result on the floor, not handing off a file and walking away
This is not the right fit if your Mastercam experience is mostly editing posted code or running programs others wrote.

• 3+ years building CNC programs in Mastercam
• Hands-on 5-axis or 3+2 milling programming
• Live-tooling lathe programming (C-axis and Y-axis)
• Strong blueprint reading and shop math (algebra and trigonometry)
• 10+ years of CNC machining and setup, programming years included

• HAAS controls, Swiss-type, or mill-turn programming
• Aerospace materials and tight-tolerance work
• Vericut or similar verification software
: $45 to $65 per hour, based on Mastercam depth and experience
: First shift, 4 days a week, 10-hour shifts
