This role is responsible for identifying necessary vehicle service and performing repair, maintenance, and diagnostic work to the highest manufacturer standards.

$30–$50 per hour for Senior-Level Technicians

Pay is based on technician skill level, manufacturer certifications, and job performance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Examine customer vehicles and identify necessary repairs and maintenance.

  • Perform vehicle repairs, maintenance, and diagnostic services efficiently and to manufacturer standards.

  • Estimate cost of repairs and document all services performed.

  • Follow dealership and manufacturer service guidelines on all repairs.

  • Request necessary parts and effectively utilize available technologies.

  • Maintain CSI scores at or above company standards.

  • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area.

  • Record all hours worked accurately in the company timekeeping system.

  • Participate in required training and stay current on manufacturer updates.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of dealership technician experience.

  • Designated Master Technician by respective manufacturer (ASE Master where required).

  • Completed manufacturer training including diagnostics, EV, diesel, and specialty vehicles.

  • Completed necessary manufacturer training to perform all warranty repairs on all model vehicles.

  • State inspection/emissions license as required by state.

  • Valid Driver's License required.

  • Thorough knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and technical manuals.

  • Proficiency with power tools, test equipment, and shop technology.

  • Strong communication skills — able to interact clearly with customers, service advisors, and management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position is based primarily in the service area and involves movement around vehicles, working in various physical positions, and the safe operation of power tools and test equipment. May be exposed to loud noise, vibration, exhaust fumes, and other service and repair conditions. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Regular interaction with customers, service advisors, and the service manager. Scheduled shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
