Master Production Scheduler


Location: Sturgis, Michigan
Work Arrangement: Fully Onsite

Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Master Production Scheduler to join our manufacturing team in Sturgis, Michigan. This position is responsible for managing the production scheduling function while supporting inventory control and ensuring work orders are created and released in a timely manner to meet customer demand and production requirements.


The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, excellent analytical and organizational skills, and a solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems, lean manufacturing, production planning, and inventory management.


Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and manage capacity plans and production schedules to support customer demand and production objectives.



  • Create work orders for all departments and coordinate scheduling priorities with department managers.



  • Participate in daily production planning meetings and APQP meetings.



  • Manage ADDs and monthly activities associated with the pull system.



  • Monitor inventory levels and support inventory accuracy initiatives.



  • Assist with the daily operation and implementation of pull systems and visual inventory management.



  • Track daily and monthly shipping goals and production performance.



  • Monitor deviations and rejections associated with designated production items and ensure timely follow-up.



  • Coordinate special projects and other production-planning initiatives as assigned.



  • Work closely with manufacturing leadership to prioritize multiple projects and ensure production requirements are met.




Qualifications



  • 7–10 years of direct experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably within blow molding.



  • 5+ years of ERP/MRP experience.



  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles.



  • Experience with OEE and manufacturing performance metrics is highly preferred.



  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making abilities.



  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.



  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for tracking, reporting, and analysis.



  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across manufacturing teams and leadership.



  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, prioritize, and execute multiple projects.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field is preferred but not required.




Work Environment


This is a fully onsite, 8-hour position in a typical manufacturing environment. The role requires frequent communication, keyboarding, and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required.
