A defense and aerospace manufacturing company in the Coachella, CA area is seeking a Master Scheduler to lead production planning and scheduling for a growing operation supporting critical government and commercial programs. This is a strategic role with strong visibility across sales, procurement, and production leadership.
Master Scheduler Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a forward looking master production schedule aligned with business plans and customer orders
- Convert demand forecasts into detailed production schedules, accounting for capacity and lead time constraints
- Analyze labor, machine, and tooling capacity to identify and resolve scheduling bottlenecks
- Partner with purchasing to ensure material availability and monitor inventory levels
- Lead cross functional scheduling meetings with sales, production, procurement, and logistics
- Track schedule adherence, cycle times, and delivery performance, and report on production metrics
- Identify scheduling conflicts and resource constraints and implement mitigation plans
- Maintain production schedule data within the company's ERP system
Master Scheduler Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in material planning, inventory, and production scheduling, ideally within a defense, aerospace, or manufacturing environment
- Strong working knowledge of MRP systems such as LN, SAP, Oracle, or Power BI
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and communication skills
- Ability to take ownership of the schedule and drive continuous improvement
