Job Details

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Manage, maintain, and update the Master Production Schedule based on customer demand, production capacity, and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate incoming customer purchase orders and communicate order requirements across Supply Chain, Production, Operations, and Customer Account Management.
  • Establish achievable production due dates and communicate delivery commitments within 24 hours of receiving orders.
  • Create and release work orders through the company’s ERP/MRP system.
  • Track customer orders from receipt through final production and shipment.
  • Monitor production progress across all stage gates and identify potential scheduling risks.
  • Maintain customer delivery KPIs, including greater than 99% on-time delivery performance.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks that could affect customer commitments.
  • Escalate capacity constraints, material shortages, and scheduling issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Manage forecasting models and conduct demand analysis to support production decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a rolling three-month production plan.
  • Coordinate rush and expedited orders while balancing capacity and existing production priorities.
  • Communicate schedule changes, production priorities, delivery risks, and operational constraints across departments.
  • Collaborate with the Production Scheduler to verify production timelines and stage-gate progress.
  • Adjust production schedules as demand, material availability, capacity, and customer priorities change.

Qualifications Needed:

  • At least 1–3 years of production planning, master scheduling, or supply-chain planning experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working within a high-volume, high-demand production facility.
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining a Master Production Schedule.
  • Proficiency with Oracle, NetSuite, or SAP is required.
  • Strong experience using ERP/MRP systems to create work orders, manage production schedules, and track customer orders.
  • Experience with demand forecasting, capacity planning, production timelines, and rolling production plans.
  • Experience monitoring production performance and maintaining on-time delivery KPIs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to identify production bottlenecks and adjust schedules based on capacity, material availability, and customer demand.
  • Four-year bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Project management certification preferred.
  • Nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, dietary supplement, solid-dose, food, or other regulated manufacturing experience preferred.
