Master HVAC Tech

Are you a skilled HVAC professional with experience working on commercial systems and leading complex projects? Join the University of New Mexico''s Facility Services Building Maintenance team as a Master HVAC Technician, where you''ll play a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and efficient campus environment through the operation and maintenance of critical HVAC and refrigeration systems.
As a Master HVAC Tech, you will act as the liaison between department management and lower-level HVAC technicians while leading the efforts to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems, including multi-zone systems with advanced controls. You'll also play a key role in system modifications, project planning, and lead a team of technicians to complete Preventive and Corrective Work orders.

If this position requires you to work in the Health Sciences Center (HSC) area of UNM, this means you will be working in medical laboratory research, medical clinical, and medical academic spaces. These HSC environments may require the donning of medically approved personal protective equipment (PPE).

Conditions of Employment
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 6 years of trades experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Possession of a current New Mexico Journeyman''s refrigeration Licenses(JR) and an EPA Universal Refrigerant Recovery Certification and one other current HVAC related New Mexico license .
Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
