This is a senior field position for an electrician who can independently handle difficult service calls, troubleshoot complex electrical problems, oversee installation quality, and help develop less-experienced electricians and apprentices.

This is not strictly a management position. You will remain involved in the field, run revenue-producing calls, solve difficult technical problems, support other electricians, and help ensure our electrical work meets code and Mountain Valley standards.

For the right candidate, this position will also serve as our Electrical Trade Lead.

What You'll Do
Perform residential electrical service, troubleshooting, repair, and installation
Handle complex electrical calls requiring senior-level technical experience
Diagnose electrical problems and develop appropriate repair or replacement solutions
Perform and oversee significant residential electrical projects
Install and service panels, circuits, lighting, switches, receptacles, and other residential electrical systems
Assist electricians when they encounter difficult technical problems
Run callbacks, determine root causes, and coach employees to prevent repeat issues
Perform quality-control inspections on electrical installations
Ensure work meets applicable electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, and Mountain Valley standards
Train and coach electrical apprentices and developing electricians
Perform field ride-alongs and evaluate technical performance
Provide technical training to the electrical team
Help apprentices progress toward greater responsibility and licensing
Manage your own calls and time to achieve required productivity and revenue goals
Identify legitimate electrical safety, repair, and upgrade opportunities for customers
Work with dispatch, sales, and operations to help the department perform successfully
Lead by example in workmanship, professionalism, communication, productivity, and customer service
