    Description

    Master Automotive Technician

    AAA Tidewater is seeking a highly skilled Master Automotive Technician to join our growing Car Care team. As a Master Technician, you will perform complex diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles while providing exceptional service to our members and customers.

    Sign-On Bonus

    • $2,500 Sign-On Bonus for A-Level/Master Technicians (External Candidates Only)

    Responsibilities:

    • Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including electrical, drivability, engine performance, and advanced vehicle systems.

    • Perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards.

    • Service and repair brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, exhaust systems, drivetrains, alignments, tires, fuel systems, and HVAC systems.

    • Utilize diagnostic software and repair information systems to identify repair needs and determine parts and labor requirements.

    • Conduct state safety inspections as required.

    • Collaborate with Service Advisors and management to communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and vehicle status.

    • Mentor and assist junior technicians as needed.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or GED.

    • State Inspection License.

    • Extensive automotive repair and diagnostic experience.

    • Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and computerized vehicle systems.

    • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

    • Ability to operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles.

    • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and stand for extended periods.

    Preferred:

    • ASE Master Technician Certification.

    • Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting experience.

    • Experience mentoring and training other technicians.

    The flat rate range for this position is $28.47 – $36.75. Actual earnings may vary based on experience, productivity, and performance. Automotive Technicians who meet established performance goals currently earn an average annual income between $60,700 and $74,100 with the opportunity of uncapped commissions.
