Massage Therapist

Tru Massage Therapy (TMT) is seeking a caring and skilled professional to join our practice in Mitchell, South Dakota. In this role, you will provide therapeutic massage services that help clients find relief from pain, reduce stress, and restore a sense of well-being. We are looking for someone who approaches every session with warmth, attentiveness, and respect for each client's unique needs.

About the Role

As a Licensed Massage Therapist with TMT, you will deliver a range of massage modalities tailored to individual goals, whether a client is recovering from injury, managing chronic tension, or simply seeking relaxation. You will build genuine relationships with clients, listening carefully and adjusting your techniques to support their comfort and progress over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform therapeutic massage treatments using a variety of techniques, including Sports, deep tissue, and other therapeutic modalities suited to client needs.
• Conduct intake conversations and brief assessments to understand each client's health history, concerns, and preferences.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and recommend follow-up sessions where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with professional standards.
• Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms, linens, and equipment to ensure a clean, welcoming environment.
• Educate clients on self-care practices, stretching, and posture to extend the benefits of each session.
• Communicate openly with clients to monitor comfort levels and adapt pressure or focus throughout a treatment.
• Work collaboratively with the TMT team to support a positive and supportive atmosphere for everyone who walks through the door.

Qualifications

We welcome applicants who combine clinical skill with a compassionate, client-first mindset. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

• Current credentials as a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of South Dakota, or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• Completion of an accredited massage therapy program.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and a range of massage techniques.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make clients feel at ease.
• Physical stamina to perform multiple sessions and maintain proper body mechanics.
• A commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and ongoing learning.
