Shared Research Support Services is hiring a Mass Spectrometry (MS) Lab Technician. This technician will be a vital part of a scientific team, responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting mass spectrometry instruments used to analyze samples. Their work contributes to research, development, and quality assurance in various fields. Under the supervision of the MS Facility Director, the MS Technician will work in close collaboration with researchers to carry out sample preparation, downstream mass spectrometry analyses, and interpretation of results, and finally report creation. The focus of this position is on mass spec analysis of intact proteins, including proteins with post-translational and chemical modifications, and proteomics. The MS Facility''s main goal is to provide high-standard mass spectrometry services to the research community.
