Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Masonry Block Estimator to join our growing team. If you have experience in construction estimating and a strong understanding of masonry/block work, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Review blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Prepare quantitative surveys (take offs) for masonry block projects, often including stone veneer
- Obtain quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for masonry projects
- Coordinate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Preparing budgets/estimates with timelines for the work
- Maintain organized records of estimates and bids
- Prepare and coordinate handoff to the field Superintendent
- Work with Superintendent to oversee project through completion
Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years’ experience in the Masonry CMU world
- Proven experience in masonry or construction estimating
- Strong knowledge of block, mortar, and related materials
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans
- Excellent math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in estimating software (such as STACK or PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and time management skills
