Masking Technician

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN GREEN BAY, WISCONSIN

Assignment of Functions and Responsibilities:

• Correctly pre-treat metal components and cabinets by washing, drying, scuffing surface, cleaning and conducting adhesion testing for paint adhesion
• Accurately apply masking tapes, films, templates, and plugs using judgement on the most efficient and effective method to achieve customer requirements
• Interpret complex drawings, blueprints and specifications while working independently meeting standard labor rate for each order
• Measuring with tape measure and/or micrometers and calipers
• Identify non-conformances during inspection of component parts and properly document such non-conformances
• Notifying supervisor when work received does not meet the specifications required by previous operations
• Responsible for recording accurate job labor using electronic tracking
• Maintain clean equipment/tools and work area
• Follow established safety procedures and use required PPE
• Achieve Crane/Hoist training (internal certification)
• Perform all other jobs as assigned
